It is a well-known fact that the prime minister of Albania, Edi Rama, has some obsessions with the Albanian media. He built a successful career as a polemicist in the newspaper "Koha Jonë", he later went on to become the Minister of Culture and Mayor of Tirana and further, as the President of the Socialist Party under the umbrella of the media's caress: every statement, every activity no matter what banal and unimportant, every marketable aspect of "private life" was obligatory news of the newsrooms. To make Ed "different", to sell citizenship in a country where politics is dominated by countrymen. As much as it seems like an unimportant quality, it played its role as a valuable card for Edi Rama.
The higher he climbed and the more he consolidated USA Phone Number in power, the more he became tyrannical. Phone calls for a caption, for a title, complaints about writings, fights with cameramen and journalists at press conferences, all of it an absurdity of the "flower don't touch me" that governs Albania today. This is also due to the concessions of the media and its owners. And even worse: also because of the kindness of a majority of journalists who mistake them for "leftists" in these cases. However, Edi Rama and himself, his entourage filled with nobody, focused only on these times, fulfilled his goal.
It came to power with a consensus that has a negative force in itself: it eliminates the effectiveness of the filters to power as it takes time to create the contradictory organic symmetry. A symmetry that today is facing the conservative and completely amoral characteristic of socialists who see criticism outside the headquarters as subversion. With the growth and revival of online media, decentralized and cost-free in nature, Edi Rama's problem appeared for the first time in a new dimension. And this is a problem that is becoming denaturalized not because the online media are bringing so much innovation in investigative journalism, but because the prime minister's paranoia towards a sector where until yesterday he had absolute control and today he no longer has it, amplifies its opposition force.
